Bad luck follows her hasty decision and when her roommate steals her identity and leaves town, Ellie is left to clean up a gigantic mess.

Fin Hunter insists Ellie owes him seven thousand dollars from an online poker game and he won’t stop until he collects it. Determined to keep her family out of her life, Ellie agrees to work for Fin in his illegal online poker operation. He’s given her six weeks to pay off the debt.

Soon sparks are flying between them and the only thing keeping her from falling for him is the debt she still owes and the money she doesn’t have.

Daughter’s of the Sea

Once you’ve been touched by darkness, it never leaves you…

Abandoned by her parents as an infant; seventeen year old Hannah spent her childhood wading through countless foster families until being adopted by the Whitmans three years ago. Unfortunately, Atlanta’s high society wasn’t quite ready for Hannah…or the strange events that plague her

Chilling visions of murder, unexplained hallucinations, and a dark, mysterious guy who haunts her nightmares all culminate to set in motion a journey of self-discovery that will challenge everything she’s ever believed; not to mention her sanity.

Sent to live at The House of Lorelei on Bald Head Island, NC for ‘kids like her’, Hannah quickly realizes things are not what they seem. Her fellow ‘disturbed’ teens are actually the descendants of mythical Sea Gods and Goddesses. And so is she.

But when Finn, the ghost from her dreams, appears in the flesh; her nightmares become reality and her dark visions begin coming true. Inexplicably drawn to him, she can’t deny the dangerous hold he has on her heart. The deadly secrets he harbors will ultimately test her courage and push the boundaries of her love.

She must decide if she is ready to embrace the ancient legend she is prophesized to be a part of. The fate of all the descendants will forever depend upon it.

About Kristen Day

I am a southern belle at heart with a crazy streak that desperately tries to escape at every opportunity. I love all things nostalgic, rustic, and quirky. I’ve been told I see the world through rose-colored glasses, but I prefer to think of them as kaleidoscope glasses – swirling and morphing reality into something I can digest (who hasn’t pretended those pasty lima beans were really kiwi strawberry jelly beans?).

When I’m not writing I’m making jewelry, painting, drinking sweet tea, watching the discovery channel, or going on random adventures in the mountains of North Carolina with my amazing husband.

Wolf Sirens

Do you like: A strong heroine (a person, not the drug), mythology, shifters, a whole TON of action, and some romance?

You do!?!?!

Well, do I have a series for you!!!!!

The Wolf Siren Trilogy!!!!

promo promo image good

By now you know how much I love a good heroine that isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty, and to face her greatest fear and walk away from her greatest desire. I also love a good tie in with mythology, and Tina NAILS it! I love it!

Artemis and Apollo….tsk tsk…why are the gods always at odds in one way or another?

Geesh, it sounds exhausting

All that drama.

Apparently all that drama spills out into the human world and really screws it all up.

As if Lila’s life wasn’t hard enough with her absent mom, and her dad who is going through some kind of mid life crisis, and up and left them for a younger woman, let’s add the weird howling she hears in her new town, and the crazy stares she’s getting from the popular girls.

AND! OH THE HORROR!!!!! Her EYES!!!!!!

(Nope…no spoilers here, though it isn’t a huge spoiler, it’s just an interesting tidbit you might want to check out)

OH! OH! And we canNOT forget about the former “it” girl, who now kind of looks homeless, acts a little crazy and warns Lila to stay away from the popular girls who have begun showing an interest.

Cresida really does come across as a nutcase.

However, as we get further into the series, the poor girl really has dealt with so much crap. Lila thought her life sucked, at least she is just a hunter and not a hunter who…

well…read it and you’ll find out.

It all ties in nicely with Lila’s obsession with a hunky wolf and her own desires he refuses to fulfill.

I’m not talking sex here y’all…I only review clean books, though this does kind of flirt with the line there, so if you DO like that kind of thing, you won’t be totally disappointed.

So this whole series is wrapped around this little town called Shade, where the conflict between Artemis, Apollo, and Zeus has absolutely

WREAKED HAVOC on these poor unsuspecting people.

Their blood literally has gold in it, ichor to be precise for all you mythology junkies.

I know, ichor is not gold, but it IS gold in color, and that is what I am going with.

I digress, so there’s a war coming between the hunters and wolves….

only who is on which side?

WHAT is a SATYR!?!?!

Okay, I know what a satyr…and they are FIERCE and deadly, and this one is oddly…gentle and sweet. I like her a lot.

Geez…it’s hard writing about a series and not giving anything away.
Hopefully, I have enticed you enough to check it out, because I will be doing a cover revela for the NEXT BOOK IN THE SERIES! I canNOT wait!

Have you ever read a book that gripped you from the very beginning? Strikers by Ann Christy DOES THAT!

I don’t normally like dystopian books…

Alright, alright, I tell myself I don’t like them, but I find myself reading them more often than not.

What IS true, is that I don’t often find one that I am drawn into and captivated the whole time I read it.

This is not the case with Strikers. In fact, this book reminds me of The Hunger Games in how much it captured my attention.

We are introduced to a trio of friend, Karas (LOVE THAT NAME!), Cooper, and Cassi who are all kind of “lower class”. Coper and Karas both have strikes against them, and Cassi’s only prospect is becoming employed by a Pleasure House.

Enter shocking discovery, and a hunky Javon (HOW DO YOU PRONOUNCE THIS!?!?!?) and adventure begins!

A Jailbreak, some narrow escapes, a very determined Creedy, and Cassi’s dream pirate.

It’s just so good!

The characters are well developed, Karas is strong and well developed. The romance is just an undertone, not the focus of this story, which I like. And, it’s full of adventure.

That is what makes a book so great. It takes you on an adventure into a whole new world you could never really enter into, and this book does this

I love when books do this!

Soul of Fire

Soul of Fire

Caris McRae

Soul of Fire (Chronicles of Quiliaris I)

Ever read a story that you just click with?

You know what I mean? You cannot put it down, and you are left with wanting more?

This is how Soul of Fire was for me. Caris is a brand new author with a bright future…at least I think so.

Let me start with a disclaimer: She is re-editing the book, though it is available for purchase now. However, there are a few editing issues, and I know that drives some people nuts.

However, I didn’t find them all that distracting from the story, and so I am going to recommend this as a great read!

Sheba…poor Sheba. She is neglected and forgotten about, and has been since birth.

She’s a twin, she has a brother, her parents, Royalty, are murdered by a disgusting excuse for a man, and she is hated and abused at her uncle’s.

In comes her other uncle, a Hashisin who recognizes her power, and her neglect. He rescues her and takes her along with him as he travels Quiliaris.

Y’all know how much I love a strong heroine, and Sheba (or Shea, as she is called in the book) is definitely one bad ass heroine.

Her powers alone are awesome, but her character…her character is my favorite thing about her.

Despite the abuse and neglect, she is compassionate. Her trust has been betrayed by every single person she thought loved her by the end of the book, and still she shows compassion.

She’s also clever, and doesn’t put up with crap from anyone.

This book follows her journey as she grows into her own. It’s full of adventure, douche-y princes, not so douche-y princes, battle, magic, god’s meddling in human affairs.

Really, it has it all and you won’t be left disappointed in the least!

Go buy it, read it, and then…AND THEN!!! Review it! Please! Reviews are VITAL to our favorite Indie authors!

Oops! Before I forget, there is also a novella: Emerald Fire, It has some background to the Sheba’s Uncle!
